Ebook About
Home is Where the Heart Is... The final book in the Cloverleah Pack series. All Cloverleah Pack Enforcer Wesley (Wes) wanted the night he went out, was to have a few drinks, maybe find some company, and try and forget his worries and insecurities for few hours. The drinks flowed and he found the company; a gorgeous man with a mysterious scent, who seemed to completely understand the anger, shame, and jealousy Wes was hiding from his pack mates. Unfortunately, Wesley didn't understand how badly he'd been conned until he woke up the next morning alone in a cave. Fast forward months later and Wes discovered the wards that had held him captive from day one had suddenly disappeared. Not one to dither when a chance to escape presented itself, Wesley set off, sometimes on two feet and sometimes on four... looking for a way out of a barren realm that held nothing but red sand and black rocks. Cass enjoyed being a demon from a large family. The Underworld was good to him; he had a job, a house, and he didn't lack for company. Unfortunately, his carefree attitude tended to get him into trouble at times and when his brother Myka insisted on him paying back a "favor" he’d incurred through a badly placed bet, Cass had no choice but to agree. It sounded simple enough. Meet with the snobby and reclusive members of the Cloverleah Pack, find out about a missing wolf, and then search for that wolf in the Underworld. Cass figured he could be home in time for his mama's Sunday dinner. Finding Wes wasn't the problem, but Wesley had stumbled onto a situation of his own he couldn't leave. What was worse, was when Cass was forced to tell Wesley about why no one from his pack had been looking for him before, Wes knew he had no way of ever going back to the life he had. The fact that Cass and Wesley were fated mates was hard to celebrate as Wes tried to cope with the loss of his pack status and the implications of his current situation. Meanwhile, the men from Cloverleah were coming to terms with some home truths of their own. The thought of having to see Wesley again, and actually apologize for thinking he'd sunk so low as to try and destroy a mating, was too hard for some pack members to face. This in turn causes issues between those who struggled and those who believed in the bonds of a pack. Serious soul searching was needed if the men were ever going to understand that the only powers worth trusting were unconditional love and acceptance. This book is not a standalone. It is the fifteenth and final book in the series (Thirteen full novels and two compilations of short stories). It is recommended that you have read at least the last three books before reading this one.The Cloverleah Pack SeriesBook 1 – The Reluctant Wolf – Kane and ShawnBook 2 – The Runaway Cat – Griff and DiabloBook 3 – When No Doesn’t Cut It – Damien and ScottBook 3.5 – Never Go Back – Scott and Damien’s Trip and a free story about Malacai and ElijahBook 4 – Calming the Enforcer – Troy and AntonBook 5 – Getting Close to the Omega – Dean and MatthewBook 6 – Fae for All – Jax, Aelfric and Fafnir (M/M/M)Book 7 – Watching Out for Fangs –Josh and Vadim Book 8 – Tangling with Bears – Tobias, Luke and Kurt (M/M/M)Book 9 – Angel in Black Leather – Adair and Vassago Book 9.5 – Scenes from Cloverleah – four short stories featuring the men we’ve come to love Book 10 – On the Brink – Teilo, Raff and Nereus (M/M/M) Book 11 – Don’t Tempt Fate – Marius and Cathair Book 12 – My Treasure to Keep – Thomas and Ivan

Book Home is Where the Heart Is (The Cloverleah Pack Series Book 13) Review :

If anyone is re-reading for this one, books 11 and 13 are key. Wesley's a pack enforcer, patroling the boundaries and training to fight. He's a wolf shifter, one of the last few to mate. When out with Thomas, he's abducted and an imposter, a golem, is put in his place. Cloverleah trusted pack, never thought to look internally for a traitor, otherwise they would've thought to scent something wrong. So this story opens when Wesley's been languishing in captivity, both he and his wolf going out of their minds. It's the dark elves behind his abduction and while the Cloverleah Pack has been looking, they've exhausted everywhere except the underworld. Of course they're not real pushed to find Wesley, the pack is divided on wanting him back. They're still pointing fingers and setting blame, even if it wasn't Wesley's fault. While Wesley was gone he matures and grows. He accepts his half breed and pack status. He discovers hidden talents and finds a family that need him. Fate is watching out. Wesley's struggling but he's blessed. He knows this. Cass, a demon there in the underworld knows this. Odd how no one in Cloverleah asked Wesley about the underworld and how he survived months of captivity. They were hardened and not sensitive to his plight.I hope we hear from Wesley when he's Frankie's second. I could see a whole series on that pack. The epilogues were wonderful, they rounded out this series on a positive note. Time moves on. So do mud puddles. - Dan's Wife
4.25 starsThis was always going to be a hard story due to the events in the previous books, but the end was well worth it.I loved both Wesley and Cass. I felt for Wesley in the previous books but when we meet him here he really impressed me with his ability to actually take stock and reevaluate his choices and the reasons he was in the predicament that he was. He took responsibility early for the doubts and negative feelings that gave the dark elves the access to him, and his hope that the pack were looking for him was actually harsh to read. I loved him meeting the kids and the way he helped Frankie take care of them. He put them first and made sure they were safe.I really enjoyed Cass and his rock steady protection of his mate. He stood up for Wes against the pack and I thought his punishment/help to the pack was insightful. I also enjoyed his relationship with his mother. It made for entertaining reading. I actually enjoyed all of the underworld with Hades And Ali making a number of appearances. In most of the books Kane annoys me, and he tried hard here too, but I loved that Cass shut him down brilliantly a number of times, but to be honest most of the pack annoyed me here and for the first time in this series when it was discussed if Wes would come back to the pack I was hoping he would choose not to.The pack treated Wes very badly. I can totally understand Marius and Cathair’s reactions, and if it was only them I would have let it go, but they all placed blame on a man they knew was not responsible and I don’t care if it was only their own insecurities that was affecting their votes in Wes rejoining the pack, the guy was innocent of wrong doing, he knew nothing about what went on and yet they pushed him away anyway. The kids showed more loyalty to one if their own than the pack who’d know Wes for longer. Shawn was one who disappointed me the most. He always is the voice of reason and lectures the guys on what is the right thing to do, he actually did it here, going in about the fates being disappointed etc and yet when Cass punished them, Shawn was punished/helped too, so he was more do as I say not as I do kind of guy. I’m glad they had the dream sequence and I’m glad for them that it helped them all in their mating, but I also didn’t accept their newfound forgiveness and acceptance of Wes and was glad he had other options and didn’t need to be at the pack full time. Shawn has it right at the end of the book they broke Wes’ trust in them.I loved Frankie the mini alpha and was pleased to hear that Wes would be part of his pack when they were older. The kids were all lovely and it was nice to see so many different shifters represented. The epilogues were ripper. I really enjoyed seeing the guys and how they were dealing with being parents.Cloverleah was a great series that I enjoy reading again and again and this was a fitting farewell.
